Operations Manager – Flow Center – Logan, NJ | Target

• Mission: Owns ensuring operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed and coordinated across functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Leadership: Foster a robust “safety first” culture throughout the distribution center by leading awareness campaigns, providing comprehensive training, and implementing clear accountability measures.
• Team Development: Quickly establish yourself as an engaging and inclusive leader, taking ownership for your team’s ability to maximize its productivity, promote individual growth, and facilitate professional development.
• Positive Environment: Actively create and maintain a positive work environment through continuous real-time observation, coupled with specific, constructive, and actionable feedback to team members.
• Operational Execution: Work with a strong sense of urgency to ensure that all operational plans are effectively executed, performance and budget goals are consistently achieved, and teams are well-informed and coordinated across all functions.
• Process Optimization: Autonomously innovate new approaches to current processes and methods, aiming for enhanced efficiency and the implementation of future process flow optimization initiatives, while identifying root causes of problems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience relevant to distribution center operations and management.
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership ability, specifically engaging and motivating diverse teams within an operational setting.
• Skills: Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with strong reasoning, conflict-management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
