• Location: Hybrid – Germany(Nordrhein-Westfalen). While Düsseldorf is specified in the title, the role can be based in Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt (Main), Hamburg, Hannover, Leipzig, Mannheim, Munich, Nuremberg, or Stuttgart.
• Team: Audit & Assurance – Audit Industry. This team provides comprehensive support and advice to companies of various sizes, ensuring their overall success.
• Mission: To take overall responsibility for audit engagement processing from planning to reporting and results presentation, generating sustainable added value for clients through audit-related consulting, and proactively driving the implementation of risk-oriented audit approaches with innovative digital tools.
• Tech Stack: Innovative and digital Audit Tools are leveraged to enhance the auditing process.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Responsibility: Take full responsibility for the audit engagement process, spanning from meticulous planning and efficient reporting to clear presentation of results. Your expertise will generate sustainable added value for our clients through precise, audit-related consulting.
• Audit Innovation & Digitalization: Proactively drive the successful implementation of our risk-oriented audit approach, leveraging innovative and digital audit tools to enhance efficiency and quality within the “Future Audit” framework.
• Stakeholder & Network Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for the leadership levels of our clients and for international colleagues across the global Deloitte network, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Team Leadership & Project Success: Securely plan, coordinate, lead, and motivate your interdisciplinary audit teams. You will guide these teams to efficiently achieve project success with consistently high audit quality in cross-functional settings.
• Business Development Contribution: Play a key role in the acquisition of new mandates by meticulously preparing and developing compelling proposals for potential clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Successfully completed the German Wirtschaftsprüfer (Certified Public Accountant) exam, which is a key qualification for this management-level role.
• Experience: Proven track record of experience gained within an audit and/or consulting company, demonstrating a profound understanding of industry practices and client needs.
• Skills: Possess very strong knowledge of both national and international accounting standards, coupled with a highly developed understanding of processes and internal controls. Critical attributes also include a high level of quality awareness, a confident and professional demeanor, a strong client-orientation, effective negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities. Furthermore, superior proficiency in both written and spoken German and English is required for effective internal and external collaboration.
