The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Pay: $26–$30 hourly
• Mission: This role supports professionals by executing foundational accounting, auditing, and tax-related tasks, contributing to overall client engagement efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record and prepare financial statements: Assist in recording transactions in ledgers and preparing trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software.
• Reconcile accounts: Aid in the reconciliation of accounts to control accounts.
• Perform computations: Support the calculation of accruals, property and equipment, and depreciation expenses.
• Prepare tax returns: Assist in the preparation of payroll, sales, other local, and certain personal income tax returns.
• Compile audit documentation: Contribute to the compilation of workpapers and other accounting reports needed for audits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma and be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with at least two years of progress, typically in accounting.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required, though academic progress in accounting is essential.
• Skills: Japanese fluency (written and spoken), foundational accounting knowledge, ability to apply accounting knowledge, and proficiency in using computer software for accounting tasks.
