General Dynamics NASSCO

General Dynamics NASSCO has been a cornerstone of American shipbuilding since its beginnings on San Diego Bay in 1960. As the sole full-service shipyard on the U.S. West Coast, we specialize in the crucial design, construction, and repair of auxiliary and support ships for the U.S. Navy. Our expertise also extends to building oil tankers and dry cargo carriers for commercial markets, providing vital maritime solutions.

We foster a culture where dedicated professionals thrive through teamwork and innovation, upholding strong commitments to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. With a significant presence across both the West and East Coasts, including key repair facilities in San Diego, Norfolk, Mayport, and Bremerton, we are proud stewards of our business and communities.
