Accounting Internship – Summer 2027 | Firehawk

The Tone:
This is an internship at Firehawk, located in Addison, TX. Firehawk is a propulsion-focused aerospace and defense company dedicated to designing and manufacturing cutting-edge solid and hybrid rocket motors and engines. This role supports the essential financial operations, contributing to the timely and accurate execution of accounting tasks for both commercial and defense sectors. The intern’s contributions are vital for maintaining robust financial integrity.

• Mission: Ensure timely and accurate financial operations through support of general accounting and month-end tasks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist with general accounting activities to maintain financial records.
• Prepare: Help prepare account reconciliations and update financial schedules.
• Review: Examine transaction accuracy to ensure data integrity.
• Report: Support routine reporting processes for financial transparency.
• Contribute: Aid in various other accounting tasks as needed for operational efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field with at least one semester remaining. U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience: Not applicable as this is an entry-level internship; no specific prior experience is mandatory.
• Skills: Ability to work collaboratively, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills. Must have a passion for aerospace or defense technology.
• Bonus: 6+ months prior internship experience with applicable skills is highly preferred. A GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred.
