Accounting Intern (Summer 2027) | Love’s Travel Stops

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship / Volunteer
• Location: In-person Oklahoma City, OK
• Mission: This person will assist the accounting department in day-to-day accounting functions for Love’s and Affiliated Companies.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Microsoft Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Software Understanding: Learn to have a basic understanding of SAP and other company software and platforms.
• Journal Entry Creation: Create basic journal entries for monthly close, regular account review, recurring entries, and other accruals.
• Month-End Duties: Perform basic month-end close duties to ensure an accurate and timely close.
• Reporting & Workpapers: Create, update, and distribute reporting and workpapers timely and accurately.
• Departmental Learning: Learn and understand all company entities and their purpose within the accounting department.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Currently enrolled in a four-year university program, at a sophomore level or above, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
• Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, completion of Accounting I and II coursework, keen attention to detail, strong oral and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Past internship experience is a plus.
