Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | JonnyPops

The Tone:
This is an internship at JonnyPops, located in Plymouth, MN. JonnyPops develops, manufactures, distributes, and markets frozen novelties, having grown from a dorm room start-up in 2012. The company leads the frozen novelties space in using simple ingredients with no artificial dyes, and spreads kindness through a kind deed on every pop stick. This role supports the accounting team by ensuring accurate financial records, directly impacting the company’s success within a high-growth environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable: Assist with accounts receivable and the cash application process, including recording incoming money and customer trade deductions.
• Accounts Payable: Help process vendor bills and accurately record expenses.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and automation efforts across finance and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Project Support: Provide assistance on ad hoc Finance & Accounting projects as directed by the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level, seeking a 2- or 4-year accounting degree as a Junior or Senior.
• Experience: Experience working in Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and people skills, along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and find efficient solutions.
