The Tone:
This is a full-time, permanent role at Dune Strategy, located remotely anywhere in the United States. Dune Strategy is a management consultancy based in Las Vegas, primarily assisting companies, many of them family groups and trading houses from the Gulf, with their market entry into the U.S., including initial customers, distributors, partners, and the operations behind their first orders. The company also advises owners on strategy and deals. The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining the company’s financial health by ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections for complex, phased market entry projects, directly supporting Dune Strategy’s operational flow and client relationships.

• Mission: Owns the process of invoicing, payment application, and collections to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition for client projects, many involving international payments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Preparation: Prepare invoices promptly when a project phase has been approved.
• Payment Application: Accurately apply international and domestic client payments to the correct project phases.
• Collections Management: Follow up on all overdue invoices diligently through email and phone communications.
• Receivables Reconciliation: Perform weekly reconciliations of accounts receivables with bank statements.
• Reporting: Generate and submit the monthly aging report to the finance lead.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Some foundational experience in accounts receivable (AR), billing, or collections, which may include internships.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with at least one of the following accounting software platforms: QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.
• Skills: Competency in using Excel, specifically for applying filters and creating pivot tables.
• Bonus: Prior experience handling foreign currency payments or familiarity with Bill.com.
