The Tone:
This is an internship at S.R. Snodgrass, P.C., located in Wheeling, WV. S.R. Snodgrass is a reputable public accounting firm that provides audit and assurance services. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and industry-specific knowledge by performing client work for the Audit and Assurance Group’s nonprofit clients during the busy spring season. Interns will contribute directly to financial statement audits, primarily for clients in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Support: Perform specific sections and steps of financial statement audits for clients.
• Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with firm management, keeping them informed of fieldwork status.
• Report Preparation: Accurately complete various projects and prepare reports and documents for management’s review, following established firm policies.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively both independently and as part of a team on assigned tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level; currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, with opportunities available for candidates in their junior or senior year, or those completing a master’s program.
• Experience: Academic coursework in accounting, preparing to gain hands-on experience in public accounting through this internship.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail, highly organized with good time management skills.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
