EmERge Emergency Veterinarian Training Program | BluePearl Pet Hospital

The Tone:
This is a full-time training program at BluePearl Pet Hospital, with participating locations across the United States. BluePearl Pet Hospital operates as a dedicated network of specialty and emergency veterinary care facilities. This role is crucial for developing skilled veterinarians who can provide urgent, life-saving medical care to pets facing crises, strengthening the hospital’s ability to support animal health. The program aims to transform participants into confident and proficient emergency veterinarians.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Complete a comprehensive one-year immersive training program designed to prepare veterinarians for emergency medicine.
• Participate in a 14-week accelerated boot camp, which includes virtual asynchronous learning, an immersive in-person boot camp with labs and ER case scenarios, and rotations through specialties.
• Engage in 20 weeks of hands-on, immersive training guided by an experienced clinician mentor.
• Perform 18 weeks of experiential training, applying learned skills with continued mentorship in a real-world setting.
• Develop the proficiency required to administer life-saving care for pets in crisis, supported by extensive training and mentorship.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited veterinary school, holding a Doctorate Degree in veterinary medicine. Seeking to specialize in emergency veterinary medicine.
• Experience: Must have passed (or be pending) the NAVLE. Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of interest.
• Skills: Ability to rapidly acquire critical practical skills, apply emergency and critical care knowledge, and perform hands-on clinical procedures effectively.
• Bonus: A sincere interest in pursuing a career as an Emergency Veterinarian.
