Accounting Intern | Graco
The Tone:
This is an internship at Graco, located in Anoka, MN. Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment that moves, measures, controls, dispenses, and sprays a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. From pumping peanut butter into jars and oil into cars, to gluing shoe soles, glass in windows, and phone screens, Graco is deeply integrated into daily life. This Accounting Intern role offers a chance to make a real impact by supporting the Credit and Shared Services team, contributing to business-critical projects, and developing essential accounting and finance skills.
The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimize: Analyze department metrics to identify opportunities for ideal utilization.
• Implement: Assist with significant projects, including ERP conversion, ensuring data integrity, and implementing the cash automation system.
• Reconcile: Work alongside credit representatives to manage customer debits and collaborate with cash application specialists to align deductions and repayments.
• Communicate: Engage with customers directly via phone and email to resolve issues or gather information.
• Advance: Contribute to special projects that support the Credit and Shared Services team’s objectives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level college student, currently a sophomore or junior, pursuing a major or concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Experience: Requires strong proficiency with PC applications and Microsoft Excel.
• Skills:
• Strong team collaboration abilities.
• Effective organizational and workload prioritization skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
