The Tone:
This is a full-time role at aspectLED, located in Saint Paul, MN, with hybrid flexibility. aspectLED designs, manufactures, and distributes high-quality LED products, focusing on solutions that offer attractive light, energy efficiency, and innovative architectural applications for electricians and other professionals. This Staff Accountant role is crucial for maintaining accurate and organized financial operations, supporting the day-to-day accounting cycle, and contributing to the company’s growth in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Finance Operations: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense recording, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Financial Reporting: Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including daily and weekly ledger entries, reconciliations, and assisting with audits.
• Record Keeping: Maintain precise financial records and documentation, manage fixed assets, and oversee sales tax exemption documentation.
• Business Support: Provide financial order support and analysis, facilitate product returns, and generate necessary business reports.
• Process Enhancement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements for financial processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This is an early-career opportunity.
• Experience: No explicit years of experience required, but candidates with 2+ years of progressive accounting experience are preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, and a disciplined, self-directed approach to managing daily and monthly deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience in an eCommerce business, proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software, familiarity with 3rd Party Sales Tax Return Systems, experience with Shopify, or general ERP experience.
