The Tone:
This is a full-time role at LHH’s client, located in Murfreesboro, TN. Our client is a rapidly expanding organization currently undergoing a significant growth phase. This role is crucial for contributing to the establishment and enhancement of accounting processes and infrastructure. The Staff Accountant will provide essential support for daily accounting operations, ensuring the precision and reliability of financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Activities: Assist with full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records and support general ledger activities.
• Data Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Transactional Support: Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other transactional accounting functions as needed.
• Process Improvement: Assist with process improvements and the continued development of accounting procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with an understanding of core accounting principles and full-cycle accounting processes.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant or a similar accounting role. Experience in manufacturing, building materials, construction, or automotive manufacturing is preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an environment with evolving processes and a positive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Bonus: Exposure to ERP systems and knowledge of ASC 606 or percentage-of-completion accounting is a plus.
