The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role with Vaco by Highspring, located in Nashville, TN. Vaco is partnering with an established business management and consulting firm that works exclusively with clients across the entertainment industry, including artists, producers, publishers, record labels, songwriters, and industry executives. This position offers an early career accounting professional the chance to build a strong accounting foundation. The role provides exposure to a unique client base and an opportunity to expand accounting responsibilities over time.

• Mission: This person will build a strong accounting foundation while supporting multiple entertainment industry clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Process accounts payable and invoices for multiple entities.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable and deposit processes.
• General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and process journal entries.
• Payroll: Process payroll and calculate monthly commission.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare sales and business tax returns, and assist with 1099 and W-2 support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Accounting required.
• Experience: 1+ year of accounting experience required, with hands-on AP/invoice processing experience.
• Skills: Strong Excel and communication skills; organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Bonus: Strong academic performance.
