The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role at OneMain Financial, located in Fort Worth, TX, with a hybrid in-office schedule (Tuesday-Thursday). OneMain Financial is the country’s largest lending-exclusive financial company, serving millions of customers with installment loans for various financial needs. This position is vital to the accounting team, supporting the OneMain Solutions Investment accounting and finance organization by managing reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis. The role contributes directly to the company’s century-long mission of doing the right thing for its customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Prepare general ledger and custody account reconciliations.
• Analyze: Research and analyze account balances and transactions.
• Journal: Prepare and review journal entries.
• Report: Provide support for SOX, Statutory, and SEC reporting.
• Investment: Review investment transactions and assist with ad hoc investment projects as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent business/accounting experience, with foundational Accounting/GAAP knowledge.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills; strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bonus: Investment experience, investment statutory accounting knowledge, or experience with Clearwater Analytics and OneStream.
