What You’ll Actually Do
• Control Evaluation: Assist with the study and evaluation of internal accounting controls and test their compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, Multi-State, Individual, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Client Advisory: Interact closely with clients and client executives to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
• Tax Optimization: Minimize client taxes while adhering strictly to government regulations and staying up-to-date with tax laws.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Obtained a college degree with a major or concentration in accounting.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, well-rounded knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards, working knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws and regulations, proficiency in the use of available resources like firm manuals and computer software, and establishing a practice of accuracy in dealing with information.
• Bonus: Prefer candidates currently working towards completing the CPA exam.
